"Art has power, if I didn´t believe in that power. I wouldn´t be doing it¨. David LaChapelle has held 7 solo exhibits in prestigious museums in Latin America. His first show in the region was at the MALBA in Buenos Aires -Argentina (2007), Museo Brasileiro da Escultura n Sao Paulo -Brazil (2008), two record braking exhibits in Mexico with more than 200,000 visitors; first at the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso in Mexico City - Mexico (2009), followed by the Museo de Las Artes in Guadalajara - Mexico (2009). He further continued exhibiting at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo of San Juan -Puerto Rico (2011), and just recently with a highly successfull show in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Lima - Perú (2015) and in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo of Santiago, Chile (2015). Additionally his work was seen from May to July, 2015 in Bogotá - Colombia as part of the Fotográfica Bogotá 2015 Bienale, in yet another solo exhibit at the Lamazone Gallery, and in the Ch.ACO Art Fair in Santiago, Chile, from September 23 to 27, 2015 in the AFA Gallery.
